Calibrating The Sonar Head
1. Select “Cursor 1” and put on a known sonar image point. (e.g. the corner of the barge).

2. In Advanced menu, select “Calibrate Head Position”

3. Select “Sonar on Tripod” which means sonar in a fixed location.

4. There are 3 options to calibrate the sonar position. E.g. we know “The corner of the barge” is at “E:408671.067/ N: 66661.876 and “The sonar position” is at E:
408644.61/ N: 66762.58, click “Calculate” button and click “OK”, the software will calculate the bearing.
There’s also an option to make the display “North Up” by checking the “Display North Up” box.
In this case, compass is not required. Probably the set up will be simplified.
