The new Model 1007 altimeters can operate as a stand-alone altimeter, or can be directly connected to the MS 1000 scanning sonar processor. The model 1007 has been designed to offer the same high performance as the 1071 - series sonar heads.
The standard operating frequency of the 1007 altimeter is 200 kHz. 675 kHz and 120 kHz versions are also available (please consult factory). This altimeter is fully field programmable allowing the user to change operating parameters (range, TVG's, pulse length, gain, threshold, update rates...) A range resolution of 2.4mm (digital output only) is obtainable up to a range of 37-metre range. The 1007 is available with digital RS 232 and RS 485 telemetry, and supports the following protocols: 809 NMEA (default), and MS 1000.
The Model 1007 Altimeters are available with the following options: analogue output; auxiliary RS 232 output; external synchronization/hold-off; 6000 and 11000 depth-rated versions.
